With the revers COL(onia) CL(audia) AGRIP(pinensium) this Postumus antoninianus is the first coin in the name of the city Cologne. The coin  is extremely rare. In H.-J. Schulzki's book "Die Antoninianprägung der gallischen Kaiser von Postumus bis Tetricus" only 15 references are registered. Of these are eight coins in museums (Berlin, Cologne, London, Munich, Namur, Oxford, Paris(2)). In the Cunetio treasure found in 1978 with 12991 coins of Postumus there is no one of this coin included. In the past 30 years only one coin was present in an public auction: Kölner Münzkabinett Auction 42, November 1986, No. 491.
